injury defense, planning and zoning, and civil rights defense. He has successfully
defended a number of lawsuits for municipalities including the Cook County
Sheriff’s Office, the City of Chicago, the Village of Oak Lawn, and
the City of Aurora. In addition to defending civil rights and other municipal
suits, Mr. Connelly provides counsel to our many municipal clients on the
issues they encounter daily, including tax issues, ordinance adoption, FOIA
issues, and licensing issues. Apart from his municipal representation, Mr.
Connelly has successfully defended numerous personal injury and premises
liability suits.
Mr. Connelly graduated cum laude from the John Marshall Law School in 2008
where he was a three-time winner of the Dean’s Scholarship and was
involved with the John Marshall Moot Court as a council member.
Mr. Connelly was able to gain valuable litigation and practical experience
during law school, serving as a 711 Clerk in the Felony Trial Division of
the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office where he prosecuted
more than ten felony bench trials to verdict. Prior to that, he served as
a judicial extern for the Honorable Thomas Hoffman of the First District
Appellate Court and as a law clerk for the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.
